Chef Tatung - Taguig City {Fatravelist}

Few months ago we heard in the radio this Chef Tatung a Traditional Filipino Restaurant by Chef Myke Sartou hiding in the heart of DMCI's Acacia Estate at Taguig City.

The restaurant is very spacious. And you have the option to dine at al-fresco or inside the restaurant.

Chef bring together antiques to his restaurant and make the place looks traditional, homey and old-world at the same time stylish.

For dinner we order Tatung's Fried Rice, Honey Glazed Slow Roasted Lechon Belly and Home Brewed Ice Tea.

Tatung's Fried Rice (210.00) is base on old family favorite loaded with  shrimp, vegetable, peanut, egg, spring onion and turmeric yellow color. We really enjoyed the nuts on the fried rice. Indeed this is a Filipino dish with a twist.

We love the Honey Glazed Slow Roasted Lechon Belly (520.00). A sinfully porkbelly roasted in a brick oven for 6 hours on a bed of garlic and lemongrass. Lechon belly is so tender, soaked in it's juice and succulent. This literally melt in your mouth.

We got Home Brewed Ice Tea (70.00). I am actually expecting of typical home blended ice tea and I'm surprise of it's unique-taste. Not too sweet, not so strong and there's an after taste of fresh mint leave. This is one of the best ice tea I ever tasted.

On our next visit, we will surely try this

Banana-buko sundae

Thanks Chef Tatung, we had a wonderful family feel-like dinning experience

Isdaan Floating Resto-Fun Park - Gerona, Tarlac {Fatravelist}

After meeting my wonderful future family from Urdaneta City and visited few town in Pangasinan, we decided to go home monday morning. We left Urdaneta City around 6AM and expect 4 hours drive going back to Manila. We eat pandesal before we left home but we are still looking for rice on breakfast. We remembered this amazing restaurant at Gerona Tarlac, Isdaan Floating Resto-Fun Park.

Restaurant opens daily Monday to Sunday even Holiday at 6AM and close at 11PM. The restaurant is along McArthur Highway so you will easily notice the place because of its eye catching decorative design

and extra large size statue. :D

We arrived at Isdaan around 7AM and everybody is very accommodating. And since it’s Monday and we are early, there are only few guest at the restaurant and we get a chance to choose which Kubo we like. :D

Pathways are made of bamboo and below you will see numerous Koi fish. The Owner make this place looks like a wonderland: D

We order Bud Bud Lechon Kawali; Fried rice with toppings of Fresh Tomato and chopped Lechon Kawali. Sunny side up egg and fried Banana, no drinks included cost 150 only :)

Then we order another dish. Byahero Meal; Fried rice and bulalo corned beef served with tuyo, sunny side up egg, fresh mango and a choice of bottled water or coffee. Come with complimentary soup cost 175 pesos. Isn’t it cheap?

This how owner and management would like to know their restaurant aside from good food and astonish place.

After breakfast we checked this Goat’s product. They are selling pastillas (35 pesos and above) and cheese made with Goat’s milk (250 Pesos) and of course goat Milk (35 pesos). We bought pastillas and milk and both of them taste good.

We also check the whole place and we are so amazed how they did develop the restaurant.

We also saw some politics like President Cory, Erap and Obama with her wife Michelle: D.

And few activities for kids and feeling kids :D

Tacsiyapo Wall all you have to do is to shout Tacsiyapo and throw your plate, mugs, cups and even TV to release you anger to Anger Wall.

Don't miss the San Kilo Bridge :D

for its good food, nice service and outstanding place of Isdaan Floating Resto-Fun Park. We will surely don't forget our experience on this restaurant :D

Matutina's Seafoods Annex 3 - Urdaneta City {Fatravelist}

It was Sunday lunch when were driving around Urdaneta City when we notice that so may cars come and go to this establishment along the Nancayasan Highway. We stop and check what the hullabaloo is. And we decided to park and we found another awesome seafood restaurant at the heart of Urdaneta City, Matutina Seafood Restaurant Annex III.

Matutina Restaurant are divided into 3 space; 1st is the main restaurant this area is enclosed and air conditioned. 2nd is Kevin’s Garden this space where you can dine on their Garden. The restaurant also accept big events so 3rd is the function area here where birthday, baptismal etc being done.

Matutina Restaurant interior design has relation to wood concept because of the handcrafted furniture’s and decorative design

It’s about 1PM and the place is jam-packed with Motorist. However we were able a get table easily at Kevin’s Garden. While waiting for our food they served a complimentary Buko Pastillas.

We ordered pork sisig and surprisingly they did not disappoint us on their sisig. Servings are more than usual, not so oily and no chicken liver. Haha

We also have butter oyster, we are expecting that it will be served on its shell but we are wrong. It was served in a bowl and the oyster were so tiny but still tasteful.:D

For drinks we ordered Fresh Mango Shake; Refreshing ripe mango blended with milk.

Overall, We appreciate Matutina's approach to authentic Filipino cuisine. Great food are great prices. No wonder why the restaurant is always jam-packed.
